Wulfbaron

-------------

Aligning the dualities of humanities contrasting sides and attributes.

The civilised side, in which we battle with pen and sword, hold honour and legacy close to us, building on history with tales of great adventures, and empires.

With the more primal, brutal, passionate urges and a need to stay close to nature and spirituality, Wulfbaron creates pieces based on both of these elements.

Drawing from the Primal, to create dark illustrative work adorning bodies with terrifying skulls, creatures, and a need for details and textures drawn from everything from the wood, dirt and tiny details that are found hidden for those that look close enough.

Call that side the Wulf.

The Baron side has it’s roots in historical figures and architecture/jewellery, stories and poetry of old, with the sword chosen to convey these details.

Why a sword? Swords can represent a number of things, beauty, strength, devastation, love, war, and everything in between.

They are quite often seen in crests, as an object of honour in cultures worldwide, from Japanese samurai, to Mayan sacrificial blades, renaissance period knights, and also your favourite protagonist in your favourite book.

Not every tattoo has to have a meaning, but the details have to serve a purpose.

A Yin and Yang, the clashing of our battle to define ourselves based on intellect, and feeling.
